The position of SN2006gy was observed using six telescopes of MERLIN at 1.658 GHz on May 9/10 with a resolution of 0.2", and 4.994 GHz on May 11 2007 with a resolution of 0.07". Both observations used 16x1MHz channels and were phase referenced using 3C84. A run of 5 hours at 1.658 GHz found no source at the position of SN2006gy to a 3-sigma limit of 0.28 mJy. At 4.994 GHz, an 8 hour observation found no source to a 3-sigma limit of 0.18 mJy.
