SN 2006gy was observed with the GMRT on 18 May 2007 at the mean
observing epoch of 6.01 UT. The L-band observation (mean frequency 1398
MHz) with a total bandwidth of 32 MHz does not detect the Supernova.
The time on source was 3 hrs. The two sigma upper limit to the flux
density at the position of SN 2006gy is 450 uJy (microJansky).
