Quick extraction of a Keck I+LRIS spectrum of SN 2007ch in NGC 6000
(Monard, CBET #961), obtained on UT 09:25, May 15 2007, shows that this
event is a type II SN. The red spectrum is dominated by a prominent
broad Halpha line, while the blue side shows a well- developed
absorption spectrum typical of SNe II a few weeks after explosion.
