I will present results from our XMM (Winter et al ApJ in press) and Suzaku follow up observations of the Swift BAT selected AGN. I will focus on our ability to determine from contiuum fitting if a source is Compton thick or not and the complex nature of the broad band x-ray spectra . I will comment on the nature of the most luminous BAT sources, the discovery of highly blueshifted spectra features in the Suzaku data, the strong IR-x-ray connection and the weak connection of x-ray indications of covering fraction and optical properties.
