The LIGO (Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory) Project completed its fifth science run in October 2007, with more than a year of integrated data in coincidence between its three detectors at design sensitivity. Enhancements to the detectors are now in progress, with a sixth science run planned to begin early in 2009. This talk will describe the status of these improvements and highlight some results achieved thus far.
