The PTF (ATEL #1964; http://www.astro.caltech.edu/ptf/) reports the discovery of a two new supernovae. PTF11bkd was discovered by autonomous PTF software on March 16, 2011 UT at RA(J2000) = 16:20:34.82 and DEC(J2000) = +21:12:08.3 at a magnitude of 17.3 in R-band (calibrated with respect to the USNOB1 catalog). The SN is seen in previous PTF imaging from March 13, and is not detected in previous images obtained in 2010.
