Scientific paper

The phenomenon of annuli with weak longitudinal magnetic field and the magnetic flux outflow appeared sometimes at the outer edge of the penumbra of sunspots during the declining phase of magnetic fields. The author suggests that the formation of these annuli should result from the magnetic diffusion instability in the transverse magnetic field outside sunspots.
