The O and C abundances in three F supergiants of the SMC are determined using spectra obtained with a coude echelle spectrometer with a resolving power of about 40,000. It is found that the C abundance of the three supergiants is about C/H abundance = -0.9 dex, while the O/H abundance is about -0.8 dex. The results are compared to Galactic supergiants, using Canopus as a representative supergiant.
