Radial-velocity measurements are presented for two visual binaries whose components recently passed through their orbital nodes: HD 214810 (Kpr 114) and HD 214850 (ADS 16173). Nodal passage of the first appears to have been earlier than predicted and no successful measurement was made of the velocity difference between the components. Nodal passage of the second was also a little earlier than predicted but a sufficient number of observations showing the components resolved was obtained to permit the determination of the ascending node, the approximate time of periastron passage, the magnitude difference and the parallax.
