Artificial Satellites: Time Synchronization, Artificial Satellites: Orbit Determination

Scientific paper

The TV signals transmitted by ASIA-1 Satellite were received by the satellites observation network of CAS for satellite orbit determination and time synchronization in 1993. The results of experiment show that the precisions of orbit determination are fairly good in both the directions of latitude and longitude, but the precision is not good in the direction of altitude. The error of time synchronization is less than 3 μs without correcting the satellite position and it is less than 0.9 μs after correcting the position of the satellite.
