The solar injections of near-relativistic electrons observed at 1 AU appear to be systematically delayed by ~ 10 min from the associated flare impulsive phases. We select for detailed study 80 electron events well observed by the 3DP particle detector on the WIND spacecraft during times of 40 -1600 MHz solar observations by the AIP radio telescope in Tremsdorf, Germany. The calculated solar injection times are compared with the coronal radio emissions to search for characteristic signatures of electron acceleration/injection. We find no single radio signature characteristic of the electron injection process. The results are compared with scenarios for the delayed injections suggested by other investigators.
