The structural properties of two local features of the Orion galactic spiral arm close to the sun, i.e., the Gould and de Vaucouleurs Belt, are discussed. Analysis of data on possible supernova remnants indicates that parts of these features are arrayed in thin, flat layers inclined at various angles to the galactic plane. The objects comprising these structural features are typically distributed in the form of clouds, rings, or shells.
