This paper discusses a number of difficulties associated with the hypothesis that the radio source CTB 80 was produced by the possible supernova of 1408. It is pointed out that either (1) the extended steep-spectrum shell source lies in front of the flat-spectrum core source, (2) CTB 80 was not produced by SN 1408, or (3) the extended part of CTB 80 was excavated by a jet with velocity approximately equal to c/3.
