The MAGIC collaboration reports the observation of a high flux level in the gamma ray emission from the radio galaxy M87 above 100GeV. The observation was performed in stereoscopic mode using the two 17m diameter telescopes on La Palma, Canary Islands, Spain , during 2.5 hours from MJD 55236.06 to 55236.19 (February 9th 2010). The recorded signal corresponds to an integral flux >10% of the Crab Nebula flux.
