Since the beginning of 2004, the TIDI instrument started broadband neutral wind measurements. The broadband data have much stronger signal levels, which can help reduce the effect of the high background in the TIDI spectral data and to reduce the neutral wind errors. We have collected over a year of data. A detailed examination of the data and comparison with numerous ground based radar data sets were performed. The selection of the ground based data was based on latitudinal distribution of the station and long data coverage. The stations are widely distributed from the northern to the southern hemisphere. The comparisons with these ground based data help to determine offsets in the zero wind positions of the four telescopes of the TIDI. Corrections were then made to the TIDI broadband data accordingly and the modified data were analyzed to extract the tidal and planetary wave?0_6 73?0 -4s amplitudes and phases. These results were compared with model outputs and other past observational results.
