High resolution spectra of chromium obtained by the interferometric method show the presence of several hundreds of new lines in the infrared region (1800 < V < 9000 cm-1). These spectra have been used in order to proceed to the identification of many weak lines on the high resolution solar spectra obtained recently by Delbouille et al. (1981).
