The intrinsic morphology of inner ring-like features common to barred spiral galaxies is discussed. It is argued that the distribution of apparent axial ratios for the inner rings of SB(r) galaxies and the orientations of the apparent major axes of the rings with respect to the apparent bar major axes provide important empirical constraints on theoretical solutions to this morphological problem. Possible inconsistencies between the observational data and the currently favored ring model are pointed out.
