The ESO (Chile) long-screw Grant measuring machine, coupled to a small computer for data acquisition, was used in a program of line identification and determination of radial velocity and magnetic fields of stars. The Zeeman spectroscopy project requirements, computer programs for data acquisition and computation, and system operation are described.
