In an attempt to discover new broad-line radio galaxies (BLRG), spectra were taken of a sample of southern radio sources identified as N galaxies. Twenty candidates were observed and 12 redshifts were measured, yet only one probable and one possible broad-line galaxy were discovered. Fourteen other radio sources identified as galaxies were also observed; 10 redshifts were measured.
