Numerous pairs and open clusters of galaxies are analyzed to determine whether the components have a preferred orientation. It is found that the distribution of isolated pairs according to position angle and direction of spiral-structure twisting does not show signs of a preferred mutual orientation for components. A weak positive correlation in apparent galactic flattening is observed in the pairs as well as the open clusters. It is suggested that this may indicate a correlation in the real flattening of the components.
