The triple star system BD+66 deg 34 consists of the non-emission line M dwarf Gliese 22B and the brighter component Gliese 22A with its unseen companion. The spectrum of Gliese 22A is classified as dM 2.5e. Andersen and Pettersen (1975) have proposed that Gliese 22A is a UV Cet-type flare star. The discovery of flare activity on one of the components of this system is reported.
