Results of the comparison of the meter type-III sources with white-light images of the solar corona, hard X-ray bursts, and 6-cm radio maps are used to analyze the electron path through the corona and the structure of the electron acceleration site. It is deduced from the comparison that the electron acceleration site covers several diverging magnetic-flux tubes which extend up to several solar radii above the photosphere. Furthermore, electrons may be injected quasi-simultaneously in two or more of these flux tubes, and, therefore, the transport of energetic electrons in the corona occurs both in azimuthal and latitudinal directions.
