Non-Seyfert, non-BL Lacertae type Markarian galaxies are considered in the investigation. The available photometric spectroscopic data for a large sample of Markarian galaxies are presented, taking into account photometry and the sky survey diameters, integrated magnitudes and colors, and morphological classifications. Comparisons with field galaxies are conducted, giving attention to integrated colors, color-aperture relations, the mass-to-light ratio, the luminosity function, the distribution of morphological types and colors in morphological types, intrinsic diameters, emission line properties, the color-absolute magnitude diagram and possible selection effects, and radio data.
