A one-parameter family of equilibrium solutions is derived to account for the distribution of stars around a massive black hole in a dense globular cluster. The equilibrium solutions rely on an adaptation of the Fokker-Planck equation to describe the stellar encounters in their Coulomb potentials in an imposed gravitational potential well modeling a massive black hole; spherical symmetry and isotropic distribution functions, as well as a power-law mass spectrum of stars, are assumed in reaching the solutions. The luminous flux from the stellar density cusp is also estimated, and reference is made to relevant observational work.
