A model is presented which describes the radial evolution of solar wind ion temperatures and speeds within a fluid framework. Resonant wave-particle interactions are taken into account and the ion-wave dynamic equilibrium is calculated self-consistenly. Numerical results show that self-consistency in the calculations is of major importance for a realistic description of energy and momentum balance between waves and particles.
