Spectroscopic and photometric observations are reported for sixteen
southern interacting galaxy systems in which at least one component
shows emission lines. Some of the galaxies have fairly broad lines, and
with the exception of one doubtful case (ESO 234-IG49), the measured
radial velocities indicate that the systems are physical entities.
