Using Orion-2 observational data, it is shown that the ratio of the
intensities of absorption lines 2905 (2904+2906) Si II and 2932
(2928+2936) Mg II varies strongly when moving from B0 stars to A0 stars.
It is shown that this phenomenon may be used as a sensitive indicator
for determining the effective temperature of hot stars.
