Using Wood's (1972) model we have analyzed Carr's (1971) three-colour observations - as yet unexplored - of the short- period eclipsing binary WY Hya. Photometric elements have been obtained. This binary turns out to consist of two detached components of practically equal temperatures, sizes, masses, and luminosities.
Estimates of the fundamental elements of WY Hya based on plausible assumptions about its masses reveal that this binary is a main sequence system with an exceptionally small separation between the components; its components closely follow the mass-luminosity and mass-radius relations typical for main sequence stars.
