The photometric data on the galaxy NGC 3379 previously published in the literature are analyzed, as a first step toward photometric studies of the central regions of galaxies at high resolution (FWHM approximately 0.5-1.0 arc sec.). Some corrections to the EW luminosity profile derived by de Vaucouleurs and Capaccioli (1979, dVC) are suggested. The revised EW profile has a central surface brightness 0.15 mag/sq arc sec brighter than that dVC found. Other data are transformed to EW profiles. The comparison of all the EW profiles is discussed.
