The IUE spectra of R Coronae Borealis (CrB) near the beginning of one of
its infrequent minimum is discussed. These spectra show major changes in
the apparent spectrum. An attempt is made to identify new features and
to interpret the overall change in the continuum in terms of an
obscuring cloud model.
