Scientific paper

We report observation by photographic and video techniques of compact (dense) meteoroids containing no sodium. Two populations of these meteoroids were found. The Sun approaching population contains meteoroids with small perihelion distances. The inner halo population contains meteoroids with high inclinations including retrograde orbits, large perihelion distance, and semimajor axes larger than 3 AU. Their orbits are consistent with the origin in the Oort cloud but their compact structure and nonchrondritic composition does not correspond to the properties of comets.
