Within the framework of the metric-affine gauge theory of gravity gravitational equations for homogeneous isotropic models are deduced and analysed using the most general gravitational Lagrangian, including both a scalar curvature and terms quadratic in the curvature, torsion and non-metricity tensors built without a Levi-Civita symbol. Restrictions on the indefinite parameters of the gravitational Lagrangian, for which deduced equations lead to so-called generalized cosmological Friedmann equation for metrics and solutions in the Riemann-Cartan, Weyl, Weyl-Cartan spacetimes, are found. Some physical consequences are discussed.
