A large-area survey of the LMC is being conducted with the AKARI
infrared camera. Imaging data with five filters (3, 7, 11, 15, and 24
μm), and spectra at 2--5 μm with a slitless prism having a
resolution of about 20 at 3.5 μm, will be obtained. This survey will
provide a large sample of AGB stars in the LMC.
