Without prior knowledge, traditional parametric statistics tends to break down, especially when data are massive and multidimensional. To overcome such difficulties, we introduce convex hull peeling algorithms as nonparametric exploratory data analysis tools, which provide descriptive measures of massive multivariate data. In this presentation, we apply these statistical tools to describe the multi-color distribution of Sloan Digital Sky Survey data (http://www.sdss.org/dr4).
