The disparitions brusques of quiescent prominences of July 2, 1976 and July 30, 1980 are discussed. Radio and optical data at λ = 1.35 and 0.8 cm and in the Hα line, respectively, confirm the arch structures of prominences. The broadening of arch as well as the plasma outflow through its base were the causes of their destruction, the heat conductivity was negligible. The differential rotation of the solar atmosphere is found to be the most appropriate cause of quiescent prominences' instability.
