The eclipsing binary system DI Her has been observed to have a small rate of motion of the periastron during a period of more than 80 years. This disagrees with the predictions of Newtonian theory and general relativity by a large amount (21 σ). The nonsymmetric gravitational theory can explain this observational result. The observed periastron motions of several other binary systems are also fitted by the theory.
