Absorption of high-energy γ-rays from Cyg X-3 in its own photon field by the reaction γ+γ → e++e- is considered. It is found that γ-rays with an energy around 1012eV are attenuated and the observed flux has to be corrected. Gamma-rays with energy greater than 1015eV are not affected by the photon field.
