A Bianchi type-I cosmological model, representing the simplest anisotropic homogeneous universe, is obtained in which the fluid distribution consists of an electrically neutral viscous fluid with an infinite electrical conductivity in the presence of a magnetic field. Various particular cases in which the magnetic field or the viscosity or both tend to zero are discussed.
