Abundance analyses using optical region data and fully line-blanketed model atmospheres have been performed for the HgMn stars Upsilon Her and 38 Dra. These results better define the abundance anomalies of this stellar class. Comparison with the abundances of other peculiar stars derived in the second paper of this series indicates that the hot Am stars and the HgMn stars might form a temperature sequence. Line blocking coefficients were measured for Upsilon Her in an attempt to explain the slight anomalies in its optical energy distribution.
