Bonahon conjectured that compact convex cores with totally geodesic boundary
uniquely minimize volume over all hyperbolic 3-manifolds in the same homotopy
class. This paper proves Bonahon's conjecture. The proofs extend the techniques
of Besson-Courtois-Gallot.
