Search for ultra high-energy neutrino induced reactions, as part of a
comprehensive probe of the neutrino sky and also investigation of the particle
nature of the dark matter, with unique sensitivity to cold dark matter
particles are described. We present a description of the design, scientific
motivation and goals, performance and status of the IceCube experiment.
