A conjectural geometric construction of quantum modified algebras and their canonical basses is presented by using certain localized equivariant derived categories of double framed representation varieties of quivers. In the cases corresponding to the setting in [BLM90], the conjectural construction is verified and compatible with the one in [BLM90], which gives rise to a realization of q-Schur algebras of type A and their canonical bases.
