We prove that the invariant for classical knots and links defined using the
Juyumaya trace on the Yokonuma-Hecke algebras is not the HOMFLY-PT polynomial,
as map on the set ${\mathcal L}$ of oriented links in $S^3$, except in a few
trivial cases.
