Minkowski Functionals are a powerful tool for analyzing large scale structure, in particular if the distribution of matter is highly non-Gaussian, as it is in models in which cosmic strings contribute to structure formation. 21cm redshift surveys promise to yield a new observational window to probe the early universe. Here we apply Minkowski functionals to 21cm maps which arise if structure is seeded by a scaling distribution of cosmic strings. We find that string-induced maps lead to characteristic signatures which may allow these maps to be differentiated from those arising if the structure is seeded exclusively by Gaussian fluctuations like in inflationary universe models.
