In this expository paper we address the question of whether, and to what
extent, the cosmological expansion influences the dynamics on small scales (as
compared to cosmological ones), particularly in our Solar System. We
distinguish between dynamical and kinematical effects and critically review the
status of both as presented in the current literature.
