The paper reports the detection of a millimeter-wavelength compact source located at the center of symmetry of the main L1448 molecular outflow. The source has a spectral index consistent with optically thin dust emission in the mm range, and is associated with a weak IRAS source. It is thus suggested that this source is the dust circumstellar structure (possibly a disk) around the young stellar object driving this outflow.
