Beust et al. (1990) reported on numerical simulations involving the evaporation of kilometer size bodies falling towards Beta Pic, which reproduced the temporal variations previously detected in the Ca II spectrum of the star. Here, two new spectra are presented which contain heretofore unobserved absorption features of the Ca II K line towards Beta Pic. It is shown that these new features can be easily reproduced by the model previously developed with small changes affecting only a few parameters. The results reinforce the model proposed in previous papers, and place some constraints on a recently suggested possible planetary or protoplanetary object present in the disk.
