Latitudinal and longitudinal (northern and southern hemispheric) distributions were studies, based on 1456 flare-related solar surges observed during the period from 1980 to 1988. It is found that there exist some active longitude belts where the surge production is more profuse in each hemisphere of the sun. Latitudinal belts between + or - 11 deg and + or - 20 deg and longitudinal belts around 0 - 10 deg and 270 - 280 deg are the most prolific zones to produce surges. During the period 1980-1988 those active zones produced 22 percent of the total number of surges while occupying less than 10 percent of the solar surface. There is good correlation with earlier findings of active longitudes.
