Among his many other activities, Mert Davies was an active participant in the IAU Working Group for Planetary and Satellite Nomenclature (WGPSN), particularly on the Outer Solar System Task Group. I will review the history of these groups and their accomplishments, including the rules and categories that have been established for the nomenclature of different objects. The work is ongoing, with newly discovered satellites of Jupiter and Saturn, small craters on Mars, and anticipated surface features on Titan among the topics under consideration.
