Interactions between the hot gas in galaxies and the hot gas in clusters are seen as "cold fronts," contact discontinuities in the X-ray surface brightness and gas temperature. These can be used to determine the direction of motion and total velocity of individual galaxies. Using Chandra observations of galaxies in both the Virgo core and outskirts, we have measured the infall toward M87 of several massive ellipticals and their surrounding groups, including NGC4472 and M86. We also have traced the motion of individual galaxies. These include galaxies in the Virgo core and one near the virial radius, which provides a measure of the extent of the hot cluster gas. Together these galaxies provide a picture of the cluster dynamics and the ongoing formation of the Virgo cluster.
